Where can one find a replacement starter for 1966 Johnson 100 HP Meteor. Is it Meteor or Golden Meteor?

Welcome to iboats nic. You can probably find one in a boat motor bone yard. You can have yours rebuilt if it's just wearing out. Take it to a starter shop and see what they can do.

The starter was missing when boat and engine were bought together. Saw on E-Bay a starter for around $63.00 but not sure if it will work for the engine.

Can you interchange the starters for the following engine model numbers with a 1966 Johnson 100HP Golden Meteor?

1987 Doral Classic 200 Bowrider, 4.3 Mercruiser/Alpha One
1964 Evinrude Speedifour, 1963 Evinrude Starflite, 1965 Johnson 5hp and 1960 Evinrude Lark
