1966 Sea King 50 hp

Well, I went and looked at the boat and took it for a test drive. I couldn't believe how well that old engine ran. Can you guys give me some imput on this engine. Also, is this a water cooled engine? I couldn't see the stream of water coming out of the back. I read somewhere that some of these engines were air cooled. Will parts be difficult to find and how reliable are these motors? Thanks

1966 was the last production year of the 50 HP and they were produced by West Bend. Parts could be a problem for this motor. I am not sure if chrysler parts for say a 45 or 55 would work on this. I would email someone at chrysler crew and get some feedback from them on this motor. My fear would be that if you need a part like a lower unit part or Thermostat if you can even get one anymore.
