It looks good needs pant on top and seats done.Motor runs good put for how long?If it goes out can i find parts and worry about manifolds. Also fuel this was made for leaded gas am I going to burn out the valves soon. Would like to get her going again I have time and can but money into her. I like the way it looks more that that I like no boat payments. thank you all Joe

If you like the boat and it runs good and your willing to put some money in her and have a few bucks to spend on it then
YES DO IT. You already answered your ownquestion!

You can overhaul it with a MERCRUSER style motor and drive when the time comes to repower and then you wont have to worry about leaded gas.

You know you can use an lead additive for your motor to keep it running right and prevent valve burn. Sure its a pain in the but

but you can do it :)

I'm not sure you'll need to worry about valves.

I had a 66 boat (dad bought new) with a 150 Mercruiser in it and it didn't get leaded gas for most of it's life (I sold it in 2005.....the head had NEVER been off) To my knowledge it never burned a valve in 39 years and we NEVER used any kind of fuel additive.

Just ensure that you can buy parts like manifolds, risers, and other wear parts. There's a lot of parts that are no longer available for OMC's

Ayuh,..........

Put the Impeller in it,+ Sell it,...............

Then take the proceeds,+ reinvest in a boat that Doesn't need Seats,+ Paint, that has a more current Driveline, that you can readily buy Parts for........

A Dead Boat,...... Is nothing but a pile of Parts........

yeah... 200HP - is that a 300 c.i.d. Buick V8? you would have a REAL tough time finding stuff like exhaust manifolds I think....
