1967 20hp Mercury Coil

Do Ignigtion Coils Just Quit All At Once Or Will They Start To Miss Fire Then Quit? I Ran My Motor One Day And It Run Fine But Yesterday It Run Like Crap. I Found Out It Was Running On One Cylinder.

It's not uncommon on the older systems for a coil to crack due to age and short to ground on the bottom side but if it's not cracked any decent small engine or marine shop should be able to test it for you.
