I've found that the stock prop is 8.25x8.5 but first I need to know if mine is bad. It has a good shear pin behind it but I can turn it by hand. The shaft doesn't move. Should I be able to do that or has the prop been damaged?

The actual problem is...I can run the motor up to about half throttle with no slipping. Beyond that the engine over revs and the motor doesn't propell. If I slow back down it works again. My thought was that the propeller may be damaged causing the shaft, at high rpm, to outrun the prop. Am I even close? If so I could also use some help finding a prop....reasonable...Thanks All.

The propeller has a rubber insert between the the inner and outer parts of the hub; its purpose is to protect the gears when you strike an underwater object.

When the insert fails, it will continue to get worse until you have it replaced. You will need to find a prop shop for the repair, or replace the propeller with a new one.

Yeah, I took the prop apart and saw the bushing. Is that not able to be purchased by the public? I can't find a prop diagram that lists parts.
