1967 9.5hp Johnson sparkplugs?

just got a 1967 9.5hp Johnson. came with fouled up champion j6c plugs. marine engineers shows j4c. champion catalog j8c. which plug is the best to use for trolling long periods of time?

The recommended plugs are J4C. J6C might be better bet if they foul when trolling but 2 strokes don't like slow speed running for long periods.be sure to give it a good thrashing on the way back to harbour. WOT all the way!

Check the setting of the slows peed mixture needle

run some xd-100 ... more expensive but decrarbs naturally. somekless to !

Check the thermostat.----They often fail in the open position.
