1967 cd24 6hp

I have a similar problem with my 1967 cd24 6hp Johnson developed this weekend. I was in some weeds proceeded to back out in reverse, then no forward movement or reverse. I think the drive shaft was turning, but limited prop movement. I put some muffs on the motor and in gear the prop turned, but after putting it back in water no movement.. help!

Check the gear oil.----Check the drive pin.

Drive pin looks good, I have not checked the gear case fluid yet. It ran fine until last weekend. I did notice the prop there is a bushing of some sort that I can push out with a screwdriver that is where the drive pin sits in. Maybe the prop from 1967 finally went south?

Prop hub is shot. You shouldn't be able to push it out with a screwdriver. You need a new prop.
