I have a 1967 Johnson Seahorse with electric start. The engine starts first turn however, it seems to stall out at idle and when at full throtle it sputters (Cuts out for 1-2 seconds and goes back to normal). Any suggestions?? :(

Check all the usual.

Motor compression.

Ignition points (if applicable)

Ignition Link and sync.

Fuel line and connectors. Those connectors can leak air in and cause the motor to starve for fuel. Usually if you squeeze the buldb and the probs seem to go away for a moment suspect fuel delivery problem as decribed above or including pump and filter.

If the carbs are dribbling gas as it putters out the carbs need work on that area.

If pulling the choke and squeezing the bulb, seems to momentarily want to fix the power issue, suspect dirty jets ect in the carb(s)
