1967 Mercury 950SS RPM Question

Hello,

Does any know of any tweaks to get about 800 more RPMs at full throttle on the 950?

My boat is a 17' Whaler, the motor and prop are exactly where I want them. I am just hoping to get a little more RPMs at full throttle. The motor is tuned right and have the throttle adjusted properly.

The only tweak would be a prop of less pitch or by moving the engine mounting up on ehw transom but then you may lose thrust in a tight turn

I am at the Prop I want.

The next lower pitch does not cut-it.
