1967 or 68 merc 110 six model 1100 water pee stream

could someone please tell me where the water comes out of this year motor i think it is not cooling dont want to trash this motor it runs good yhanks treeman

g,day mate i have a 68 merc 1000 same donk pee hole is on right side near back of motor just under where top cowel meets lower part of motor it is a little rubber outlet about 1/4 inch in dia sometimes if you put muffs on water pressure in hose not enough to pump so put motor in test tank or take to ramp and run in water some times insects get in hole and clog it use a a thin wire to push in and out to clear if water is coming out of exhurst at back 2 square holes it is pumping if not you need a new pump. don,t run motor with no water to long,if it is ok put a smear of grease up hole after use will stop bug,s and will flush out when running let me know how ya got on mike ps water also cmes out of exhurst at rear with gases

thanks i had it on muffs with plenty presure ill check again where is pump located on this motor thanks again treeman

sorry pal went away for 2 days,pump is located in lower unit you have to remove lower unit to inspect more then likely the impeller is shot not hard to replace i,d replace the whole pump unit as the housing gets hot and rarps without water mike ps if you remove gearbox make sure it is in neutral and don,t forget hex allen bolt in anode and bolt under anode [ fin rear prop]
