1967 vs 1973 johnson 6hp outboards

Are parts to these model year 6hp outboards interchangeable like most of the 9.5 are of the same years?? I own a '73 and found a complete '67 parts unit but not sure if they are compatible with each other....thanks for your input

Well for the most part, yes. But not necessarily everything.

fuel pump can be different and cam folwer in carb is dfferent, but carbs assembly fits
