1968 55 HP starter

I have a 1968 55 Hp Evinrude Triumph. I have determined that the starter windings are no longer working and needs to be rebuilt. (EDIT) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Take it to your local auto electric shop. The can test and rebuild it.
