1968 6.6hp spits when warming up

On my little 6.6 hp motor, when I first start it after being cold, it will spit here and there. It goes away when the motor warms up. I was wondering if this is a carb issue. I have rebuilt the carb and cleaned it really good. It doesnt die, but seems to come close sometimes. Then it gets warm, and everything is ok.

I have adjusted the carb a little, but it doesnt seem to make much of a difference, especially since the motor warms up pretty fast so after that I cant tell if the spitting goes away or not.

Or is it just cold natured?
