I took the starter out and had to order some parts which took a month to get. Now that they are all back in, I can't remember how to hook the starter cables back. I disconnected the positive, which should go on the post near the bottom of the starter. I have a ground bolted to the top of the starter--no idea where it connects to. AND I have a ground that comes out of the electrical cable bundle where the positive comes out (where the motor elect. connects to boat's elect.) and I don't remember where that ground goes. I think that one bolts on right on the side of the engine casing, about 3 inches away and right above the area where the all the electric cables meet, but wanted to double check. Still no idea where to hook the starter ground.

Do I have these three cables hooked up correctly? Can post a picture if need be.

The ground on the top of the starter goes around the front to a bolt on the front cowl frame the one from the wire bundle goes to the bottom cowl near the plug in and the positive cable on the starter goes to the solinoid

Follow-up question:

I found ANOTHER wire yesterday, the yellow one in the picks which disappears into the engine. Assume it goes to the back of the solenoid and the red cable from the electrical wire bundle goes to the solenoid, and then the yellow cable is the one that actually bolts on to the starter post. Is that right?

And so I don't fry anything, the second picture is a picture of the solenoid, right? That the red cable that comes from the electrical bundle attaches to.

I've ordered a manual--it just hasn't come in yet!
