Took the flywheel off to see what was needed and found that the post that holds one set of points on was loose...fixed that.
Now I want to change the plug wire, but the coils are riveted on and you cannot just unscrew them and R/R the plug wire. Before I go to trying to figure out how to unbolt the entire plate that the two coils are riveted to, I wanted to ask the experts what is the correct procedure to replace plug wires. I don't think there is enough room to work from the underside without removing the assembly to pull each wire out and reinsert, but maybe I am wrong.
The wires are original and cracking and damaged areas have been taped up...it's time to change them!
Thanks for any advice.
