Azlo if your going to use that prop you better put a nut on it.
First time you go into reverse she will part faster then my granddad after church service.

Kidding aside your project looking real nice.
Thanks for sharing it with pictures.

LM - you have me thinking about making a windshield for my Jet:)

Hmmm, very tempting. Gonna read some more. I just have so many ideas, im afraid to make one & not fit. But than again u dont succeed if u dont try , huh.

It's really not that hard if you have the tools. I used a router table to cut it since I have access to one but you could do it with a jig saw as well. It's a little harder but if you are just making one it is not too bad. You can use a belt sander make final adjustments on fit if it is not exactly right. The biggest thing is the heat. You have to be careful not to over heat it or it will bubble. There are professional tools to do this but for a one off deal a propane heater works just fine. I bought a 4 X 8 sheet of plex for $100 and was able to get 4 jet boat windshields out of it. They were all slightly different. Had they all been the same I could have made 6 out of that same sheet.

no sweat Azlo. you'll get it. i am making one for my flying bridge and the ceramic type heaters work well also and covers a large area for bending it. But you look like you are just making straight cuts so a jig saw or router will do it easy for you.

I have to apologise for not posting, but i have been working 16 hours a day. Man , thats a big killerr. My job recomends irregular hours. Anyway, i finally got some time & this is what I did.

Plexiglass fin ally gettting installed.

Tried tried the hand saw then the jig saw non of tht worked except the wood saw. Yes the circular saw to cut plexiglass. It worked beautifull. Other wie it would just melt.

Looking great Azlo, I like the sleek style of the windshield.

That 4-blade prop will be a nice combination of form and function, should push the boat well while looking bada&% :D
