1968 johnson 55hp Steering conversion

Hello, I have the above, and in need of advice for using a rotary steering with this motor. I have a engine mount-bolt mounted steering arm tube for some time now, but it prevents tilting the motor up as the link contacts the steering arm tube. Could someone suggest a setup that works well?

I have welded some angle material to a tilt tube.----Mounted in such a way that it does not interfere.-----Or visit your friendly boat shop for a kit.-----Or research replacing your entire mid section with tilt tube and power / trim tilt to fit your lower unit and powerhead.

Thanks. Is this doable on the 55hp, with hydraulic shift gearcase? Id like to have power trim, so this is great!
