I was able to get 7/16 spark at the coil wire by adjusting the point gap at .012.

I am now getting consistent spark through the distributor and rotor to each plug wire end. With the tester the best I could do was 1/16-1/18 gap for a consistent spark.

Squirted a little fuel mixture in the carbs and it tried to kick over as the starter shut down!!!!

I will give it a water barrel test this weekend....

Thanks F.R. And the rest for all your help!

FYI - last week I got some used breakers and points on eBay that were almost new! So, following the service manual I gapped these at .012.

For $11 I got new breaker points, reverse cutoff ring, wick and holder, safety switch, and breaker plate. Too bad I paid retail earlier for some of these needed parts. Well I have backups I guess.

Thanks. Pretty much had to go through most of the ignition system including the replacement of 75% of the parts. This was after rebuilding the starter. Hopefully you have an easier time than I did.

If it were not for the help I received on this site, I would have given up a long time ago.

Good luck!
