The fact that you can jump start it means the starter itself is Ok.

You need to check for spark. Turn the key switch to run and jumper the starter like you did earlier and see if you have any. Probably not after burning up all those coils, you have probably destroyed the points and condenser in the process.

It will not crank when i turn the key know. But put a jumper wire from the battery termial to the small termial and turn the key and the motor starts cranking. but the motor still will not start. so since i had to jump starter is the starter bad .

When the "S" terminal on the starter gets 12v that is power to the solenoid which should energize the starter and crank the engine/ The starter's job is not to start the engine but to turn it over at enough revs to start. The engine will start with fuel, ignition and oxygen.

If you jump the solenoid for the starter- main lug from the + battery wire to the "S" terminal it should energized the solenoid for the starter and crank the engine whether or not the key is in the start position.
