Hello this is Catfishnfred. I am about ready to get started working on my recently purchased boat. I got a good deal on a 1968 Starcraft 14 footer last week. I live in St Petersburg, FL. Overall I would say that its in good shape. I will try to put some pics on here later so that I can get advice from other boaters who have come across the same issues. This is a really good site. I feel that I have learned quite a bit already from just ready your posts. I will be doing this by myself so I could use some advice along the way since it is my first time. So... here.. I .. go... Shes got pin holes on the bottom side and a couple of holes about the size of a dime on the tramsom near the drain plug. What I got for the job is G/flex 650 epoxy for the holes and I got Gluvit...are these the best for the job? I'll try to get pics on here that show the holes that need to be repaired. Any help would greatly appreciated. I know some but not all that I need to know. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, it sure took me a long time to type it. I am the king of the one fingered typing...so thanks again. Catfishnfred...

Welcome to a new TinHead, CFNF. :D As soon as you can post some pics so the Starmada can see what you have. Hey - one finger typing is better than using your nose. LOL

Welcome aboard! As for posting pics, I have hit the green tree in a box icon up by the smiley button, go to the basic uploader, browse to find the pic I want then click upload.

I use Photobucket to post pictures. Once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. Most guys here go that route. Use two fingers to type, it's twice as fast!

For small holes I braze 'em (look at the Sea Scamp thread). I find it just as durable as welding (I'm assuming this is aluminum). We'd love to help, that's what we do. Pictures make it easier, a picture's worth a thousand words. You can type out a thousand word's or start posting pictures!

What kind of power you got for her? Does the boat have a steering wheel and windshield?

Welcome to the Tin-Klan. I look forward to watching you fix 'er up. I like to catfish too by the way.

That was fun that was my first time with a boat motor also. as for a windshild or any thing No she prety striped. i think it
