General update:
broke a float bowl cover from removing/installing it over and over. had to order one from a salvage yard
thankfully that one had just been rebuilt so i was able to replace the float, filter, and the cover, and the cover has a new needle valve.
installed new 12 gallon tank + new fuel line up to the front, under the bow. threw out the crapped out 3 gallon tank that was sitting in back.
still sanding. did the port side again with 1000 and 1500 because i was not satisfied with the polish. polished it out after and waxed to see what it would look like. still not happy. did starboard again 1000 - 1500 -2000 and will polish to see how that comes out.
finally got the lower unit off to replace impeller. old housing was starting to break down so i'm glad i did it.
