I've got a '69 evinrude 115 electroshift. Model number 115983E. Currently has a 13-3/8x17 prop on it. Due to a mishap I jacked it up. Transom saver mishap at highway speed. Anyway question I have is does anyone know which spline count and hub size I need without me having to take the prop off? I can't seem to find that year when I search by pitch.

Based on what I can find through a parts search for my year motor these are my options. What would you suggest. I'm looking for moderate speed but power to push a boat with a 350# bait tank, gear, 2-3 people, lobster nets. image.jpg

Re: 1969 115 Evinrude

I looked on here for a prop and the one I had isn't available. Based on engine years I didn't see the same as mine which made me wonder if their was a difference in the splines and hub between a 1969 and say 1980's 115. The boat ran decent until I bent the prop this morning on my way home. Does diameter make that much difference? I know pitch does and I'm leaning towards a 13x17.

It seems that the aluminum props available for your motor are mostly made by Solas now. The ones listed for 13 spline/V-4 gear case should fit your motor. The slight difference in diameters do not matter.

A good candidate might be the Solas Rubex 13-3/10 X 17. Part number 9411-133-17 with hub kit number: RBX=106.
