I am restoring a 1969 20HP Johnson. I rebuilt the carburetor and now see a 1/8 hose which attaches to a nipple which is underneath one of the coils about 2 " and near the carburetor. It is about 16 inches long and ends up near the fuel pump. Can someone tiell me where that end goes?

If I'm understanding this correctly, it should attach to the fuel pump. The nipple I assume leads into the crankcase, so it should attach to the fuel pump to work the diaphragm.

Not familiar with this engines but most are set up this way. The nipple looks kinda high and too far towards the cylinders, but it may be the way they are set up. Idk. Are there not 3 barbs on the feul pump?

I think that is an oil recirculation hose that takes oil up to the bearing on top. If it is then one of the bolts that are on the bypass cover will have a nipple.

The oil hose runs between the lower bearing to the upper bearing (vertical path)

The combo bolt-nipple for the crankcase drain hose runs between the lower right corner of the bypass cover and the intake manifold (horizontal path).

Yes sorry I forgot there are 2 hoses.. The nipple is down low and you may need to remove the solenoid to access it?

I stand and applaud your expertiese. I would never have found the "nipple" if it were not for your help.
