Hello all, just joined site a couple days ago. Great site with loads of info. I had to tear my motor apart a couple weeks ago to replace a couple of exhaust gaskets. Got the gaskets in, now I am wondering about what the torque specs are for this motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you can be more specific I'll look in my manual tomorrow and get back to you. The book doesn't give torque spec's for everything but there is something in there about torque according to bolt size. Let me know. Did you have any trouble getting the gaskets? Rick.

Hey Rick. Thanks for the reply. Getting the gaskets was no problem. I got them and the grommet that goes on top of the impeller housing. There are like 13 bolts total that hold the exhaust manifolds on. I repaced the 2 gaskets closet to the motor. Item #s 18 and 23 on this diagram.

Thanks again.

There is nothing on the torque chart specific to the exhaust manifold. It does give this though.
1/4 inch - 60 - 80 inch pounds
5/15 - 120 - 140 inch ponds
3/8 - 220 - 240 inch pounds
To convert to ft.lbs just devide by 12. Rick.
