1969 lark 2 40hp question

I have an the opportunity to purchase a 1969 lark 2 40hp in good running condition w/ all the controls for $300. Does anyone know if that model is a long shaft or a short shaft? I'm thinking of replacing a Mercury 650 with it but I need to know if it's long enough to work on my 1973 Tundercraft 15' tri-hull.

It's likely a short shaft from what I've seen on the market. The attached photo shows the section that is installed for a long shaft. If this five inch section isn't present, it's considered a short shaft model. I think the short shaft is 15" from top of transom to the anti-cavitation plate and the long shaft is 20".
The Lark II (or 2) was a 1960 model that had a very rectangular hood with a square access door. I don't know if they kept counting up to 1969 but I guess it would be a Lark XI.

measure the motor, shorts were about 17 back then longs 22. form tramsom mount to av plate.

I'm waiting for a reply from the seller and hopefully a pic of the motor but it's not sounding like it'll work. I measured the transom last night and it's 20" from the top of the transom to the bottom of the hull so it'd have to be a long shaft I believe.
