1969 Offshore V engine upgrade

My Offshore V has an evenrude 115 on it any thoughts about adding a second one and what its effect would be on the transome?

You should reinforce the transom with additional knee braces.

You would be better off with a single engine in the 150+ hp range.

Twin 115's on a boat and transom rated for a single 125max? Excessive weight, over limit max HP rating, take your pick.... Unwise at best. Posting advice to overpower isn't particularly wise either, IMO.

That's over 600 lbs. of leveraged weight on a sub-1000 lb. hull. I can't speak to the actual torque values, but it's way too much. Why?
