I have been working out a few bugs on this motor and all is good. I am still waiting for my service manual to arrive. I've got a pretty novice questions here. I want to change Lower Unit Lube. I have identified a VENT screw on upper part of lower end and a large screw also on same side at an angle right at the bottom of unit. I am assuming I drain from this lower screw and re-fill in Vent screw unit lube reaches bottom of vent screw? Does this sound correct??

Your drain should be on the right side just above the skeg or on the bottom of the bullet at the front. Don't touch the screw on the right side near the front of the bullet. This is your shift pivot screw.

If you only have a vent screw up top, you will open the lower screw, open the top screw and drain. To fill, you will fill from the bottom until it comes out the vent.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Did't want to just start taking screws out, made that mistake on a Johnson 35hp and it wasn't pretty.
