I have a 14ft tri hull with a 60 hp selectric shift evinrude, normally there are 6 gallons of gas and one person. I will use it most for cruising and skiing. So my questions are these:
1. Does anyone have a 1970 60073D seletric with stock prop that could tell me the pitch, diameter ect? If not your best guess at one. 4500-5500rpm op range, sorry I have no tach to tell how the last prop did ( which was lost ).
2. Are stabalization tabs ( wings on the side of the motor, not trim tabs ) worth a try to help it get out of the hole faster worth it? (about $35)
Other suggestions?

While the final selection would depend on the boat and typical activities. The base prop is a 13 3/4 X 17.according to period literature.
So that would seem like a reasonable starting point.
You really need some sort of tach to evaluate your results. An induction tach like a Tinytach will work.
A gps for speed is very helpful as well.

Ok guys thanks definitely gave me a good place to start, and I hope to have a tach of some kind when I try out the next prop. I have a gps so that's no problem.

Every time I see this, I read it as "selectric", and wonder why you have an IBM electric typewriter on your boat.

Just sayin...

I have had good results with foils on 2 different boats.A 3.0 18 ft I/O and as 15' 50 hp outboard With a Doelfin.
Worth a try, though there can be worse results; poor handling ,reduced speed, increased fuel use.
In our case we had 2 drivers that were short and the foils reduced the bow rise and helped the boat to lay down a little better.
While I have no specifics I think the boats lost a little top end.
On the outboard the foil was added after adding a 12 gallon tank at the bow and moving other items forward
we also cut the rear bench in half and put it forward just behind the front seats.
The I/O was new, a typical bow rider with normal I/O bow rise.

If the tab is in the water it's drag so it will drop top end somewhat. For those who want to improve the hole shot and "just above planing" it surely makes sense.

A 70 hp engine on a 14' boat with a 17P measures up to the rigs back in the early '70's when my boating circle used mostly OMC triples of 60 hp with the 15P prop on 15' tri-hulls. Years later, in my usual cycling through different boats, I had a '75 70 hp rude on a 15' Kingfisher BB running a 19P ss but I had dinkered with it some and usually I was alone, no water toys. The boat was light and was basically flat for the last half of the boat so it was easy to plane and rode on the water, not in it. No doubt the 19 was a bit much for the engine on that rig, but that's what I ran and it was fun. I didn't have a tach but you could tell the engine wasn't singing, course most of the OMC's I ran over the years didn't sing any way....like my Mercs.
