I removed the lower unit, replcaed the water pump impeller, and now the engine is always in forward gear.<br /><br />I pulled it again, tried to realign the shift shaft to forward, the control box to forward and installed, still no Nuetral or Reverse.<br /><br />It used to work right!<br /><br />when I have the lower unit off I cant manually get it into any gear position other than Forward.<br /><br />it seems like the shift shaft moves about 180 degrees, but when I look at the end of the lng lever on the engine that engages it it only moves about 60 degrees.<br /><br />what have I done!<br /><br />HELP!!!
