Re: 1970 cruiser inc. 23 cabin inline 6 cyl. ? enough power ?

ok, a few things occur to me...

1. By the position of the drive and transom assemblies in the water, she's not a deep vee hull.
2. 1970... 42 years old. 'nough said there.
3. speeds are in the listing. And on that... would have been nice if you posted a link to the listing, I hunted it down, so for anyone else -> http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/boa/3221056890.html
4. My wife loves the cushions in the cabin, very nautical.
5. the 165s are NOT fuel efficient. They are an engine from the 50s... You want fuel efficient, get a newer engine. I had a 165 and I now have a 4.3MPI, uses about 40% less fuel now.
6. that boat should be 'planing' at around 11 knots. I believe the speeds he lists are probably accurate.

I looked at this boat last fall and it is in beautiful condition. My wife also loved the interior. It is just not the kind of boat I was looking for. Did not take her out but the engine ran nice and smooth. He has been trying to sell for a while.
