Hello I am losing prime on my gas line while the motor is running and thus the motor will stall. If i prime the ball the motor will recover. The fuel pump is fairly new and appears to be working fine. What should I look for when inspecting the pump to verify this is the problem? Thanks.

Masbassin,
You said it appears to be working fine......How can you tell just by looking?:p
Just messing with you....
You may have an air leak in the hose around the primer bulb, a bad check valve in the primer bulb, or a split or otherwise boogered up pickup tube inside the tank. Most likely, though, your fuel pump isn't working. Take the fuel line that comes from the pump and goes to the carb off of either the carb or the pump, and pull the motor through a few times and see if the pump is pulsing fuel out the hose/nipple.
If it's pulsing fuel out then it's working, if not, either the pump is not getting fuel to it due to the aforementioned possibilities or the pump is bad.
Good luck,
JBJ

Borrow and try another (known-to-be-good) tank and hose to eliminate that possibility.
