Thank you sschefer . I actually modeled the paint somewhat after yours except for the stripe . As Andy said there ws a little fiasco with tape but thats over now and as soon as I get new carpet on the bunks and bow stop its time to put her back on the trailer and get the cap painted and the interior done so I can see aabout her seaworthiness .

Hey you are about half way done YEA!!!!

Hey we scored a Glasspar G3 1961 w/ 75hp Evinrude (1961 starflite III) and another 75 hp (johnson and it is old too) $200 total cost with trailer and extra parts to boot
no that isnt our house but the totally cool guy we bought it from

Keep up the good work, you are ahead of us and that Newman PlaVille we're working on, currently adding in the transom wood, next is stringers, add floor and glass, then paint and interior touches etc. Then we still have the trailer to deal with UHG! Let's see who finishes first! I might have an advantage I have the wife to help plus not working very much at all lately.(photo biz is slow)

Hey Vegas thanks I am leaning towards the stripe all the way around to and keeeeewl now you have a classic with fins . Theres a mid 60's Glastron locally for $400.00 with a 75 horse rude on it and its all I can do to just say no LOL.

Ok not much progress from this week ( Actually had to hire an installer just to try to keep up with work . ) I did manage to come up with these seats this weekend off of CL for $80.00 .

I will have to replace a couple pieces of wood in them but the vinyl is in awesome shape .

Ok...that torks me out Rick. I seem to have a black cloud of bad luck over my head trying to find back to back seats...and you find a nice pair like that for $80!

WOW you did great on those seats. i dont know if you have priced quality back to backs, but they are not cheap.

Wes I surf CL several times a day and those just happened to pop up the other day and I jumped on them . Keep looking you will find them . I have had this boat for a little over 2 months and surfing CL daily just now netted me these seats .


Imperial yes I have priced back to backs . I was actually planning to go with a pair of single seats until these popped up and of course I couldnt pass them up at 1/4 retail or less .

Rick - Are you hitting CL in your area or nationally? I have been looking actively for almost a year. I had one pair jump up a few months ago and they were gone within hours.

What's the secret sauce?

LOL Wes I surf locally only for the most part . The secret sauce is just being in the right place at the right time almost like evilbay . I hit and miss on CL all the time . I thought I had a nice countertop icemaker for SWMBO this weekend and just missed it . The seats I got lucky on and they were less than 5 miles down the road from me . I dont ever see back to backs on CL myself usually just bucket seats so needless to say I was stoked when I saw these and even in the right color for my boat.

Or figger a way to cut off the plastic box and still keep em usable for the jump seats..hmmmmmmm

Kev I would keep those as jump seats and just paint all of em with vinyl paint to match .
