Hey guys i am pulling the controls off a boat that i bought to put them and the engine on my boat. My question is if i open the control box to disconnect the cable so i can get them out of the boat is it very complicated with a bunch of parts that are going to fling out? It works perfectly nowi just have never taken apart a control box . Do you have to completely remove all the innerds to diconnect? Or am i over thinking it and its gonna be a simple disconnect.
Thanks in advance

It might be easier to disconnect the cables and harness from the motor, leaving everything attached to the control.

Thank you , the only problem with that is that they are hard to get to they sit about 3 inches below where the wrap comes off. I think i would have to lift the power head up to get to them which might be more if a hassle. Any thoughts?
Oh i guess i should say that its a 1970 mercury 500 thunderbolt. Thanks fellas
