I purchased a 1970 Sea King 9.6 model # VWB27009A this weekend. From what I read oil mix is 50:1? Is that correct?
Motor runs ok. Has a skip at idle. Not sure what the cause of that is. Once in gear and revved up it runs fine.
I see an idle agjustment screw on carb. Is this set just for idle RPM? How many turns out should it be?

I also want to change impellor. I understand its basically a chrysler 9.9 engine. Can I use the chrysler impellor for that year?
How do I change impellor. What linkage has to be removed to get lower unit off?

Does this motor have points? If so, whats the correct gap? Also the spark plug gap? I cant find a manual anywhere. Any suggestions on where one may be located?

Randyray41, I have not worked with the Sea Kings because they were not exported to Europè from what I know.
I am in Sweden, Europé.
I have checked out the internet and they are very very similar to Chrysler and made by Chrysler.
Think it is just the outer trim that is different.
The mecanical is the same.

You can use the impeller for the 9,9Hp Chrysler.
I think it has points (does it has any CD box outside the flywheel?).
Points gap 020 in, plug gap 025-030 in.

The carb is adjusted in the water in gear.
that screw is for the air/fuel mix at idle.
It will probably change the idle but it's not for that.
The idle might be a screw on the left side ???
Pics of your carb??
