1970 sea king cross matched to 1970 hhrysler

I tried to cross refence the 9.6 Sea king Model # VWB27009A to the 1970 Chrysler 9.9. I understand they are basically same motor. There are 8 models listed for the1970 Chrysler.

Have any idea which Chrysler motor would be the closest match for the 9.6 Sea King?

It depends on the year.

8, 9,9, 10Hp Chrysler are basic the same engine.
9,9Hp was uprated to 10Hp in 1974 I think.
12,9 and 15Hp Chrysler basic the same as the above mention engines.
The displacment are different.

my Sea King motor is a 1970 model. I figured the 1970 chrysler 9.9 was basically the same, just dont know about all the different models. Thanks for your reply Nordin
