Hey guys,
I just got done doing a total restore on a 1970 starcraft v-150 deluxe. I know there's nothing on the internet about old boats so im asking the wise guys here. I have a crack in the windshield and need to have it replaced. The glass businesses dont want to deal with it. What do i do, and does anyone know whare i can find a replacement for it?

Well..... lot's of luck. If the local glass people will not deal with it.....it may be impossible to repair. The windshields are the hardest parts to replace with original parts. You can check ebay and maybe get lucky. Sorry for the bad news but that is about it.

What's the windshield look like? Is it flat or curved?

The windshield is is flat with a vent flap in the lower middle. The windshield, i think, is pexiglass. I cant find any place that sells the right thickness. The crack goes from the top of the vent flap to the middle of the left side. It cracked towing it home on a freezing cold day. I think the cold and the wind force is the factor. The windshield is the only part of this boat that i havent replaced yet. I can live with it but it looks bad.

What is the thickness of the plexiglass, (most likely its either lexan or acrylic). Flat sheets shouldn't be difficult to find.

You'll need to measure it closely, because it'll come in sizes in 1/16th increments. If you get it from an acrylic supplier they'll use the decimal equivlents. .125. .187, .250, .312, etc.

Good Luck
