1971 1150 Merc Prop Pitch

Hi I have a 1971 115HP Merc on a 1970 V Hull Glastron 17'- I do not have a prop; can you please advise me on the proper pitch and diamter prop for this setup. I will mainly utilize the boat for skiing. Thanks for your advice.

No he won't....mod1 will get this one... :) <br />windsurf03, for skiing, go with the prop that puts you at or as close to 6000RPM, light load.<br /><br />Moving to outboard, non-repair....

Thanks for the quick response and next time i will watch my posting location.<br />I have the dry weight of the boat; does anybody know how much a 1971 inline 6 115hp mercury weighs?

Windsurf03, An inline six of that vintage weighs 300 LBS including Power trim and tilt. subtract 20LBS if you do not have PTT.
