I just bought a Sealander houseboat and have no info at all about it. Anyone have any info? Pics? Diagrams? Seems like there aren't many of these out there.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... Sweet lookin' water lodge,.... Looks like ole Volvo power,... Which motor,..??

As for diagrams, 'n manuals, ya gotta think of the individual systems,...
Driveline,...
DC power,...
AC power,...
Plumbin',...
Etc...

Most can be deciphered by lookin' 'em over, 'n abit of testin'...

How's the interior,..??

I've got a 34' Nautaline I moor in front of the riverhouse durin' the season...

Wow. Looks great. That interior is in awesome shape. Mine is at the marine repair being completely restored. We had to gut the interior to get the floor removed. All the open cell foam was removed and the structural was repaired or replaced. The floor was replaced and new closed cell foam was shot in. The floor was glassed. The rear deck was rebuilt and new hatches. All the while, the engine and out gear were removed and sent out to be rebuilt or repaired. They are redoing the gel coat on the entire exterior too. I will have to replace one of the front curved windows next and then it's time to build a custom interior. Once it is launch ready the trailer will go out to be repaired and painted.

It was originally quoted to be launch ready by July but the marine doesn't have heat in thier warehouse and the boat didn't get dried out as fast as was thought. (I bought it in Nevada and it was stored outside. There were blocks of ice so big they took weeks to melt.) Maybe I'll get in the water next spring? :-(

Did you get any paperwork with it? I have none. I'm wondering about the weight mostly. Of course mine will be different from original when finished but I'm still curious about that. I wish I had the original manuals.

Hi all,

I'm new to iboats, but found your thread on the 1971 Sealander. I'm looking @ one to purchase currently. Anything specific I need to look for? Has a 165hp chevy inline 6 w/ the mercruiser marine outdrive. Both recently re-built. Any leakage issues, common problems that I ought to beware of?

Here are a few pics of the one I'm looking @...

Also, if either of you have had yoursut on the water yet what can I expect for cruising speed?

Thanks for any/all help!
