My 1971 50 HP Model # 50173S will not start via key. A pal of mine touched his battery charger to a few points on the slnoid and the starter spun, but did not rise to spin the fly wheel assembly. I know little to nothing about this topic and opener is May 15th here in MN. Somebody please help by telling me where to start.
