I continue to learn all about my Merc 500 thanks to the great folks here on Iboats. Now for the next learning experience. 1971 Merc 500 Ser#3241445 now runs like a dream, but it's not charging to the battery. I noticed that after running it for about a half hour decarbing with seafoam it was running the brand new battery down. Is this a stator issue/switchbox ?? Any help as always is appreciated.<br /><br />Kevin
