Sure sounds like you high speed circuit is dirty. I mentioned it some time ago. That would be my thing to do now. Is there any chance you not getting a good seal with your compression gauge? Rick.
Do you get 30 pounds in both cyl or just one? Either way I'm bettin you are looking at a tear down & rebuild.
forgot about that....looks like i will break down the carb then on Saturday and clean her out. By circuit do you mean the jet or needle or something else?
and the compression gauge will hold the 30 psi for like 10 minutes maybe more never let it sit longer than that haha

You say one cylinder is 30psi. What's the other cylinder's compression?? Did you post it and i just missed it?
The motor will run with just 1 cylinder working. Lots of folks think they're running really nicely when it's really running on only one cylinder---until they take it to the lake and give it full throttle and if falls on it's face.
You probably have carb problems and ignition problems as well based on what I've read in your thread. However, I wouldn't spend a dime on it until you know you have good compression in both cylinders. The 9.5 motors that run well that I've tested had about 80psi in both cylinders. I agree that compression gauges and compression gauge operators can vary greatly and be unreliable, but if you're getting 30psi on one and 70 or 80psi on the other, you may have problems that require more than just a carb cleaning and ignition tune-up.
Just my opinion,
JBJ
You don't need all that. I didn't see wire by the foot which is all you need. Saw this this morning and I have not bothered to check to see if the price is right but it is one stop shopping for sure. If wire and ends is all you need I would suggest you just stop in at an Evinrude dealer. They will have what you need. Measure the length you need cause they sole me 6 inches short once. A pain. Rick.
