hello all,
I have a 71 100hp johnson original control box with key start and choke toggle, I have installed a universal ignition kill switch to the red hot wire to the key start. This red wire with a stripe on it also is fused on the motor (20amp) and leads to the solenoid, I am not sure if this is a good way to do this but it works like a charm . The universal switch is a mageneto kill (closed) or (open) kill ignition.
QUESTION
Is this an acceptable way to stop the motor??
