1971 Johnson 9.5 Fuel Pump question

Hey all, I took apart my fuel pump and reassembled it, but I left 1 piece out somewhere. Its just a small circle plastic piece about the size of the end of your pinky finger. maybe even a bit smaller. do any of yall know where this goes? I would appreciate any help. I would assume it goes on the very end facing the motor on the inside where there is a small hole.
