Yeah, I have a thermostat in mine.. lol...
I can hold my hand on the head.. It's warm, but not burning my hand hot.. That's good! From what I understand, that's how it's supposed to be... lol
Compression ratio??
If you mean cylinder compression with a compression gauge, it should be 140+ each cylinder.. Mine is 170psi both cylinders.

Compression ration is a ratio of cylinder volume with piston at bottom vs top. 11:1 could be a performance gas engine. I adding the photo again of the water coming out around the motor mount I guess it's called in case readers were confused. I asked a knowledge person who says he never recalled seeing water discharged there, I'm a bit concerned.

RIGHT!!!
Got so caught up with compression tests I totally forgot about that.. Been a long time since I've dealt with that... lol

Based on the bore, stroke and displacement specs from the manual, ballpark figure would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 9.2:1...
This doesn't account for piston domed or not, nor head gasket thickness or head gasket bore, deck height etc.. though...
Just an extremely ROUGH ballpark figure.....

I haven't run my engine yet to verify, but I did check out some of my vids of it running.. Took a screenshot of mine and it seems I DO have some water coming from the mounts... So... Either it's normal, or we both have a problem! LOL... (sigh..,.)

Here's a pic of the still from my vid... Highlighted the water in the red square.. mount_water.png

Can't wait to hear from the real pro's here on this one... Now I'm curious too! :noidea:

Thanks for that, I'd hate to sink alone. Seriously I think it's probably good news. As other verification does not seem to be forthcoming I'll hope it's all right.
