1971 Merc 1350 Tachometer Question

I bought the Teleflex speedometer and wasn't sure about getting the Teleflex tachometer. Would the Teleflex tachometer work with mine? Thanks again. -Mike<br /><br />Im going to get some JBweld and goop up the leak on the exhaust manifold.

Yes a Teleflex will work, you will have to change the sender wire from the switch box to one of the yellow wires a the rectifier

So would this be the brown or white? How can I tell the difference? Sorry. The wire diagram shows no gray wire but when you look at the tach diagram it shows the gray wire?? *confused*<br /><br />I think it is the White wire. What is the brown wire for?
