7.5 H.P. Chrysler model 72H1D. Had spark, but wouldn't start. A dealer pulled off one of the coil/cd modules and noticed that the wires for that coil had layed against the head and melted together. They pulled them apart and taped them up and did who knows what, now they tell me there is no spark on either cylinder and it will cost alot to fix. Needless to say I have the motor back in my posession. i tried to splice new wires on the CD module that the wires melted in hopes that would work but still no spark. Meanwhile the connectors to the stator have been disconnected a few times now and i don't know if they are hooked up right either.

I guess all I want to know is if you have one bad module/coil, will it make neither cylinder spark? and would the stator be shot from the melted wires on the cd module, and Where can I possibly get a used CD/Coil Module to try and figure out if that is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Is there any simple way to test the cd modules to see if they are the problem? with a ohm meter etc?
