Didn't have access to my manual.....got that info from Mastertech marine....they have more torque specs listed also. Go to Technical Specifications tab, then Chrysler/Force tech specs.....

And are the head and outer cover bolts the same? If not then no need to remover the head.
There are several bolts that hold the cover onto the head.....but all the head bolts go through the cover, so the head bolts will have to come out to get the cover off.

Before I start loosening the head bolts I would like to know if the head will come off without removing the powerhead from the lower section.

Don't have to remove powerhead from lower section. If this motor has been used in salt water the head bolts may be hard to get out, fresh water should be ok.

Well I screwed up and didn't pay attention to impeller orientation before removing it. Is this correct, or should it go the other way? This way gives it a CCW direction on the shaft.
Thanks again.
