1972 Johnson 65hp water pump replacement

Anyone have any tips, tricks or advice on pump replacement? And can the driveshaft seals be replaced without removing the driveshaft?

You will need to disconnect shift wires.----Then attach a " fish " to pull them back up on assembly.----Yes driveshaft seals are in a housing that is removed.----Driveshaft stays in place.
