I live near the Mississippi river there are rotten glassers everywhere. And I already started chopping on it. Guess I'll just have to finish hacking at it so I can get that itchy think outta here.
Thanks ga I told the admiral about your idea about the nautical themed flower bed. She said that it was to big and I already had the top cut off. I seen her standing out there looking at it today. I went out to see what she was up to and she says why can't you bury it. I thought to myself that wouldn't be a very good idea. Before I could say anything she said I always wanted a fish pond. So guess what old glasser will be recycled and I have a new project
My brother in law owns a excavating construction company. Sure I can sweet talk him into bringing is mini excavator over with a few beers. Heck he can probably get me some rock. Then all I'm out is some money for a pump, plants, and some fish. Sounds like some pretty reasonable brownie points to me.
Repurposing a n old glasser just makes sense when the land fill wants a huge a mount of money or make you go through h@#l to get rid of it. Here's what happened to a rotten old Silverline doner I bought.
Gonna do the flip this weekend get her in the turtle position. After I finish cleaning all the sand out from under all the ribs. Do I need to gluvit first? My thoughts where to do it after bottom is painted dew to flex of flipping it.and should I put transom in before I flip it? I have the transom done and three coats of spare on it. Want to sand it test fit it one more time drill the holes and another coat of spare first
Yes - I missed the transom question. Putting the transom wood in before the flip adds a lot to the structural integrity. I would install before turtling the hull.
Got some 2 by 2 by 1/8 angle to repair my knee brace. Can't seem to find who had it posted on here. Was just wondering if they cut the tabs off the knee brace or just put over them and what size rivets.
