I have a 1972 14' Starcraft Holiday (the orange boat). I want to replace the transom and have read many threads here in preparation including one on the same exact boat. One question that I cannot find an answer to is how to get the drain tubes out in order to remove the transom without ruining them. Or, in the alternative, how to find new rain tubes for the new transom if the existing ones have to be destroyed in order to get the old transom out. I have a handle on removing all the other rivets, screws, end caps, etc. but cannot figure out the drain tubes. Thanks for the help! - Dan

Yep, anyway you can, as long as you don't damage the aluminum transom skin :)

Get new ones right here on iboats...Drain tubes

You'll want 1 of these:

Moeller drain flanging tool, also on iboats

Or build 1 of these:
